Do a little detective work
Favourite cast recordings, a saved review or a production they mention repeatedly can guide the choice. Ask whether a repeat visit would be welcome rather than assuming a familiar title is a mistake.
Respect their seat preferences
Experienced fans may care about a particular part of the theatre. If you do not know their preferences, ask or give a voucher. Do not promise a particular cast member unless the selected performance explicitly supports that expectation.
Make the voucher feel considered
A show design and a personal message can make flexible credit feel thoughtful. Explain why you chose the theme while leaving the actual booking decision to them.
