How much to give for a West End gift

Decide whether your gift is a contribution or a complete outing. For tickets, compare the live total for the right number of seats and date. For a voucher, choose an amount you are comfortable giving and explain what you intend it to contribute towards, without guaranteeing a particular booking.

Count people before choosing a number

A gift for one fan and a shared evening for a couple have different requirements. Decide whether you are covering the recipient only, their companion, or a whole family. When buying tickets directly, check the total for every place before paying rather than multiplying a headline starting price.

The performance and seats change the calculation

Date, seating location and live stock affect what can be booked. A gift voucher does not freeze today’s price. For a specific premium seat or popular performance, selecting the actual tickets gives you a concrete total to work with.

Make a contribution feel intentional

A personal note can say that the voucher is towards a theatre night. That is clearer than promising two tickets without having checked the recipient’s preferred performance. It also leaves them free to add their own contribution if they choose a different experience.

Remember the day around the show

Travel into London, dinner and the journey home can matter as much as the seat. If you are treating someone to the whole outing, decide which extras you will arrange separately. A standard theatre ticket or tickadoo voucher should not be described as a dinner package unless the selected product explicitly includes it.
